September 2007 Borough Council meets at the
Borough Hall on the first Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. unless
otherwise announced in the Borough Newsletter.

SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL
Curbside Trash
Collection
-
Trash collection days
are every Tuesday at curbside and must be
placed at curbside on Monday after 4:00 PM.
If Tuesday is a holiday, collection will be
on Wednesday.
-
Only trash in the
official "Keep Elverson Clean" bags will be collected.
-
Residents may purchase
the bags at Elverson Supply Company or Boro Hall.
-
Bags are sold for $2.00
each. You may buy as many as you like.
-
Trash bags are 30
gallons in size.
-
Filled trash bags can
weigh no more than 40 pounds when placed at the curb for pick-up.
-
Trash bags must be
closed with the provided twist tie.
-
No trash in cans will be
collected.
-
Large items over 40
pounds must be set out on the Bulk Pickup Day.
Curbside Recycling
-
Recycling pick-up days
are every Tuesday at curbside. If Tuesday is a holiday, pick-up will be on
Wednesday.
-
Each residence receives
one recycling container. Additional recycling containers are $6 and can be
ordered by calling the numbers below.

Residents are
responsible for the safe keeping of their recycling container. Replacement
recycling containers are $6.
-
Recycling containers may
be set out even if no trash is set out.

Paper Recycling

Paper/cardboard
recycling drop-off hours are the first Saturday of the month, 8 a.m. to 12
noon at the Old Railroad Station dumpster.

Please flatten
cardboard.
Yard Waste
- Leaves must be in PAPER

- Branches must be bound and not
longer than 4 feet
Bulk Pick-up
-
The next Bulk Pick-up date
will be Tuesday, May 13, 2008

Large Items only will be
picked up (i.e. furniture and appliances).

It is not necessary to
attach an official bag.
-
Items not permitted
include tires, building materials & appliances with freon.
